Thanks Giving Activity Idea – Turkey Fragrance

How cool is it to have a turkey that smells nice at your thanksgiving table? Or even on your study table? Here are a few easy steps to create a potpourri Turkey for thanksgiving.

You Need:

Scissors and pinking shears

Plastic eyes (wiggle type seen on teddy bears)

Glue

Some potpourri

A suitable fabric representing an autumn theme

A chenille stem/ rubber band

Needle and thread or staples

Some card board (brown)

How to Create a Potpourri Turkey

First, cut out triangular fabric pieces to make up the turkey’s feathers. Use pinking shears for this task as it will make the turkey look nicer and prevent the fabric threads from coming off

Next cut out a larger fabric and include some potpourri in it.

Now wrap the potpourri tightly on the fabric (in to a pouch shape) and tie it with the rubber band or chenille stems.

Now take the feathers you created earlier and attach it to the back of potpourri pouch (using needle and thread or staples) to give it a turkey body shape.

Cut out an obliged shape card board piece to make the face.

Attach plastic eyes to the face using glue.

Cut out a red beak from a colored paper and attach it to the face.

Now you can attach the face to the body piece with glue or with staples.

Your potpourri turkey is now ready to take over the table!

Happy Thanksgiving!
